Now you need to choose which fabric – polycotton or the same fabric with a stain resistant treatment. Which is right for you? Here’s some information to help you choose.

What a fabulous invention! Easy care. Simply wipe down with a wet cloth after each use. The fabric has been treated with:
- Two layers of acrylic resin.
- A treatment of Teflon® by DuPont® in a high temperature bath.This treatment process creates a protective layer around every fibre in the fabric.
So what are the benefits? Here are some good reasons you may chose the Teflon coated stain resistant fabric.
- Spilled liquids and food are repelled so stains simply wipe off.
- Meals are stress free with no embarrassing moments at dinner parties or family get-togethers.
- Only wash your tablecloth occasionally saving you time and money .. as well as helping the environment.

Important Notes
- Your tablecloth is made slightly larger than advertised. It will shrink a little on the first wash bringing it back to the right size.
- The photos are as accurate as possible. However, colours in photos are sometimes different to the tablecloth. Small colour variations may occur.
Care Instructions
80% Cotton / 20% Polyester
- Normal machine wash in cold or warm water. Washes beautifully.
- If you want to iron your tablecloth, use a medium or cotton setting with steam

- Use a wet cloth to clean and wipe off any spills immediately.
- For grease stains, use water and make a paste with some soap. Leave it to sit for fifteen minutes and wash as usual. Savon de Marseile or Sunlight soap is excellent for this.
- To sanitise or disinfect your tablecloth, use a weak bleach solution with two tablespoons of bleach in a litre of water. Spray on and wipe down afterwards.
- Occasionally, you may want to wash your tablecloth. Machine wash in cold or warm water. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
- Like any fabric, the tablecloth will crease after washing. Just hang to dry and put back on the table.
- If you really want to get every last wrinkle out, use a medium temperature iron with steam. Always iron on the reverse side. Ironing can help to reactivate the treatment.
- Do not dry clean.
- To avoid mould and mildew, make sure your tablecloth is completely dry before folding and putting away. The coated fabric does such a good job of repelling water, it makes it difficult for any trapped moisture to evaporate.

Ideal Tablecloth Sizes for Rectangle Tables
Help is here to find the best tablecloth to suit your rectangle table. First, measure your table and add the amount of overhang you would like. Remember to add the overhang amount twice to allow for both sides. For a 100cm wide table with an overhang of 20cm, the width of the tablecloth would be 140cm. The ideal overhang is entirely personal preference. Suggested tablecloth sizes below are based on an overhang of between 15cm to 25cm.

What Width?
The tablecloths come in a variety of widths:
- 120cm wide to suit a small four seater or coffee table
- 140cm to 150cm wide to suit most standard tables measuring between 85cm and 120cm
- 175cm to 295cm wide to suit very wide tables or if you want a longer overhang

For your “Elegance” tablecloth, we have tried to make the origin very clear. The first paragraph of the product description says: “The Elegance striped tablecloth has been hand-made in Australia using quality fabric imported from Europe.” and the third paragraph says: “French Affair import fabric from Spain to hand-make tablecloths that bring joy to every dining occasion.” I’m sorry that there was some confusion on where it was made but pleased you’re happy with the tablecloth. If there’s another way you feel we could make this clearer, please let me know as we want you to be 100% happy with your purchases.
