Your Cigale Bleu French tablecloth will bring joy to every dining occasion and give a lifetime of pleasure. Ideal for everyday use or for special occasions.
Cigales (or cicadas) are the symbol of Provence. Their distinctive melody is the first sign that summer has arrived in Provence.
According to Provencal folklore, God sent the cicada to rouse peasants from their afternoon naps on hot summer days and prevent them from becoming lazy. The plan was a dismal failure! The peasants were relaxed by the constant buzzing, which encouraged them to have an afternoon siesta.
Combine cigales with olive branches set against a bright blue sky and you have an iconic French tablecloth that sings with the sounds of summer all year round.
Choose between 100% cotton or the same 100% cotton tablecloth with an acrylic Teflon coating.
100% Cotton:
Normal machine wash in cold or warm water. Washes beautifully. Your tablecloth doesn’t shrink and is fade resistant. So easy to care for.
100% Cotton Teflon Coated:
What a fabulous invention!? Easy care. Simply wipe down with a wet cloth after each use. The cotton fabric is treated with an acrylic Teflon coating therefore the tablecloth is stain repellent. It’s like magic because any spills simply bead on the cloth ready to be wiped off. Perfect for high traffic areas such as the kitchen or outdoors.
The great thing about the coating is that although there’s a light sheen, because the tablecloth is made of cotton (and not plastic or oilcloth), it drapes nicely at the corners and doesn’t stick out at awkward angles. This water-repellent cotton can be washed in the washing machine although it doesn’t need washing nearly as often as a standard cotton tablecloth. A bonus for the environment and it saves you time and money. Ideal for everyday use.
Care:
Use a wet cloth to clean and wipe off any spills immediately. Machine wash your tablecloth in cold or warm water without affecting the coating. Like any fabric, the tablecloth may crease after washing. Just hang to dry and put back on the table. If you really want to get every last wrinkle out, use a medium temperature iron with steam. Always iron on the reverse side. Do not dry clean.
Complete the Look:
Dress your table in style. Combine with matching napkins or a bread basket for the complete look. Classic elegance to bring a touch of France to your dining.
The photos are as accurate as possible. However, colours in photos are sometimes slightly different to the tablecloth, so small colour variations may occur.
