Authentic French Berets from Le Béret Français
Le Béret Français is a timeless symbol of French culture. Berets have a rich history that dates back centuries. Originating in the Béarn region, nestled in the Pyrenees, the beret was first crafted by shepherds as a practical yet stylish headpiece. Over time, it evolved from a local staple to a global icon of French fashion, representing sophistication, artistry, and a certain je ne sais quoi that’s distinctly French.
In 2012, Rodolphe Grosset, a passionate advocate for French craftsmanship, breathed new life into this tradition by reviving a beret factory in Laàs, the birthplace of the beret.
Located in a former convent, the company launched its first collection in 2013, offering a range of classic and fashion-forward berets. Each beret is meticulously crafted from quality merino wool, 100% made in France, and represents a perfect balance of tradition and trend.
Recognized for its exceptional quality, Le Béret Français holds the prestigious EPV label, a testament to its commitment to preserving a living heritage. Today, from its expanded facility in Bayonne, the company continues to share this iconic piece of French culture with the world.
